Foundation of CHIMERA

Shortly after the war, Andromeda had disbanded the assassins. Everything had seemed to go back to normal, almost as if the war had never happened.

Except the fallen faces of almost all the cats had spread through all the empires. Families broken. Friends lost. Cats captured, unknown if they would ever be recovered. 

The war had failed seemingly.

The gathering passed, the death toll was high, naturally, from all sides. It was hoped that they would have some peace from the bounty hunters.

A group of cats weren't going to wait for that possibility.

Shrouded from the eyes of their leaders, a new group was formed. A secret society.

One cat acted preemptively, gathering trusted warriors within the Fire Empire, shortly after the war had ended. Suferue, the ex-assassin, launched an effort to gather her allies to arms, to prevent random attacks by bounty hunters, as well as to perform raids on cities to rescue any captured felines.

Among the cats she spoke to, the ex-assassin Cicero was the first. Selected for his display of intellect and loyalty, Cicero did what he thought was right regardless of what would happen to him. As she trained by his side, she saw, despite his more hesitant side, that he became more and more confident with himself and his abilities. Despite all they went through, and some of her own more strongly voiced moments, Cicero stayed by her side, unwaveringly, showing her a kind of comaraderie she had not previously known.

Shadow, an ex-assassin, had fought directly by her side during the battle in the city. He hadn't freaked out during a surprise attack move performed with him. In fact, he moved with her almost flaulessly. Staying by her side during the attack, his skills were especially fearsome. Despite hearing the orders that were given, he had listened to her own reasoning, and stayed by her side through the onslaught of attacks. It had given her a lot of respect for him, and a well-earned place by her side.

The little spitfire she had known since he was a small cub, Milon was chosen for his tenacity. He proved himself a rising gladiator at a young age, and displayed skills and great hidden talent in his young self. Suferue admired his ability to think on his feet, and his unending loyalty toward his family and friends, despite his persistently stubborn nature. She considers him one of her kids, and knows she could rely on him in any bind. 

Ezykiel was a cat that Suferue had probably known the least amount of time. Despite this fact, she still knew he would be a valuable asset as she had worked with him on missions in the past. She regarded him for his loyalty to his family, despite it being broken, and his striving to protect them at all costs. His nobility and strength in hard times, caught her eyes. She approached him, offering a way to recover his kidnapped son and prevent any other catastrophes from happening, which he gladly accepted.

She had watched her own, up and coming, young apprentice, Ethan, grow from a doubtful apprentice into the confident, rapscallion he was today. When he had lost his previous mentor, he displayed a lack of confidence in his abilities, fearing they had contributed to his previous mentor's demise. Suferue had taken him under her paw and watched over him carefully. He flourished under her, as one of her kids, and an excellent pupil, showing immense talent and skills during their training times. When he had graduated into a gladiator, Suferue quickly recruited him, knowing she could rely on him to stand at her side through anything.

Her final recruitment was Boreas, who faced life-threatening injuries after the war concluded. She had known him for his stealth and kindness during their times in the empire. Strongly recommended by Shadow and Milon, she had even seen him playing with her kid, Zuri, at times. She approached the snow leopard when he recovered enough strength. Despite being a bit downcast from the war, there was a gentleness in him that they needed, that the others did not have, and she knew it. His kindness and supreme skill in stealth would greatly benefit the team in many battles to come.

Gathering together, Suferue, Cicero, Shadow, Milon, Ezykiel, Ethan, and Boreas would form a close knit bond in the months to follow, training focused on stealth and agility. Three of the cats being ex-assassins, the cats were off to a great start in skill to pull from. Now, they train together, out of sight from their empiremates, to protect their home, and prevent fire empire from being targeted by the hunters. These cats formed the Specters of CHIMERA.


RULES OF CHIMERA

1. No speaking of Chimera to other members inside camp or anywhere else

2. Never call each other by code name in public

3. Chimera must remain a secret from friends, family AND all leaders. Not doing so could directly jeopardize their empire and anyone they may know. There are also known enemies or spies in fire empire, and speaking to someone you may trust could eventually be abused.

4. Cats are not allowed to kill unless forced to do so. If killing does take place, your cat will be evaluated and placed under watch with a different team member (this is to make sure the act was not performed needlessly and to make sure your partner does not cover up wrongdoing). There is expected to be strict code held for holding your partner accountable, and it would be expected that they are turned in if they develop some kind of a kill for fun streak.

5. The safety of other members are of the highest priority. Leave no one behind.

6. Code names are for member's ears only. 

7. The Chimera armor must remain hidden and outside of camp AT ALL TIMES. You will have stashes located in less traveled areas away from camp. If you sense another has been near, you MUST move your armor.

8. Always keep your guard up during Chimera meetings to not get caught or be seen sneaking out, and always work with another member of Chimera to form a plausible alibi.

9. If your cat wishes to ask another to join Chimera, they must make the recommendation to Chimera's leader, who will watched the prospective cat and extend membership if the cat's personality fits. (basically, they can't go up to someone asking if they want to join, and bring them to the leader).

10. Your cat is expected to work together with whichever partner is chosen for them. They may request a different partner, but refusal to work together in emergency situations is not tolerated as petty banter could compromise the entire team.

11. Your character must always have their peers backs in hiding their identities, for the good of the group, and the secrecy toward the entire empire.

**At this point in time, CHIMERA is not open for more members, but please keep your eye out! Any plot involving CHIMERA will need to be run through the members first!**
